Usually people grow in adversity, suffering and experiences make them become stronger. Heaven gives assignments to you according to your ability; so, don't belittle yourself.
Do not have a selfish heart. Take a broad view, what a vast and broad sight it is. Don't let a narrow and constricted mind limit yourself. Listen, deliberate and perform more, Don't talk too much.
Don't push things to their limits;leave some room for reconciliation it needed. Don't be too forceful, save some energy. Don't show off all of your abilites, save some for latter. Continue to refine even if you are the finest; blend toughness with tenderness, strength with gentleness, and rigidity with flexibility. Don't try to compete with others among the strong.
Repay good for eveil. Don't let the grace you received be in vain. The more you receive, the more you should fulfill your vows. Let go of your troublesome problems; as your heart is tranquil, everthing is "calm". After everything settles down in calmness, will there still be any worry?
Merits are earned without others' recognition. Do not seek for undeserved reputations. Keep your vows well, do more and talk less. Take care of your health, do not do things beyond your capabilties, and cherish your own life.
Cultivation is painstaking and toilsome. As long as you have the heart and sincerity, you can make a breakthrough. Heaven will give what you have asked, but you have to work hard to achieve success. Human effort is the decisive factor. Hold strong to your faith, and don't change easily.
Ask yourself to put the most effort in doing the simplest thing; then the big things will not be difficult to you.
Cultivation is simple: First, break your bad habits. Second, give up your own interests for the coldness of reality, passionately keep salvaging people and serving the public. These are the footsteps of sages, saints and Buddhas.
You are supposed to work hard. Heaven gives you the opportunity to work hard. Whare there is toil, there is an opportunity. Be greatful, Requesting for nothing is the Great Request. An act without secular purpose is the Great Act.
To cultivate Dao you need to change yourself first and not to be prejudiced by preconcention. Before making any conclusion, observe, comprehend and participate first.
Every person is a temple; bring the temple with you wherever you go. As people look at you, it is like seeing a temple, so graceful and so serene. Therefore, cultivate your heart to be a grand temple, which can accommodate everyone. Share the Truth everywhere you go, then you are living Buddha
Cultivation needs a compination of sincerity, patience, wisdom and the heart od bodhisattva, sharing not expecting rewards, and heavenly innocence.
